This is a quick and flavorful tuna dish made with simple spices—perfect with rice, chapati, or even as a sandwich filling.
📝 Ingredients
- 1 can tuna (drained)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 small tomato (chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1–2 sprigs curry leaves
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½–1 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp garam masala
- Salt (as needed)
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
🍳 Instructions
- Heat the oil
Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. - Sauté aromatics
Add curry leaves and chopped onions. Cook until the onions turn soft and slightly golden. - Add ginger-garlic paste
Sauté for about 1 minute until the raw smell disappears. - Cook tomatoes
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy. - Add spices
Mix in turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 1–2 minutes. - Add tuna
Add the drained canned tuna and mix well with the masala - Cook and combine
Cook for 3–5 minutes, breaking the tuna slightly and mixing evenly. - Finish with garam masala
Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. - Garnish
Turn off heat and add fresh coriander leaves.
