Beef Cutlet Recipe



Cutlet is most famous snack in kerala.it is also called croquette.it is favourite among all kerala peoples.it is available in all bakeries in kerala .It is a crunchy snack available both in vegetarian and non vegetarian.Cutlet is round and palm sized snack with Veg and non-veg filling.
Cutlet is a fried patty coated with bread crumbs.it is soft on inside and crispy on outside.there are several varieties of cutlets with chicken,vegetables,fish and banana. 

Beef cutlet is most popular snack with ground beef or minced beef,which cooked by adding spices .Then combined with boiled potato and onion masala and evenly shaped then coated with egg and bread crumbs and deep fried in oil.

The chicken cutlet is prepared in the same way as the beef cutlet.The boneless chicken is more preferable.It is very easy to make.The cutlet is a favorite of children and adults alike.The spicy cutlet is a good combination with a cup of hot tea.Make your evening special with cutlet.Cutlet goes well with tomato ketchup.


Ingredients:
For beef:
Beef                            -500 gm
Chilli powder             -1/2 tsp
Pepper powder         -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder      -1/4 tsp
Garam masala          -1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
Water                         -1/4 cup

For masala:
Potatoes             -2
Onion                  -2 NOs
Green Chillies    -2 NOs
Ginger garlic paste       -2 tbsp
Garam masala              -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder          -1/4 tsp
Salt 
Curry leaves
Corriander leaves
Oil for deep frying
Salt as needed

Bread crumbs
Egg -2

Steps:
1. Cook potatos in a pressure cooker by adding required water and pinch of salt. Switch off after 3 whistles.then peel the skin and mash it by using a fork or masher and keep aside .

2. Wash the  beef and pressure cook by adding 1/4 cup of water ,salt,pepper powder,turmeric powder,garam masala.cover and cook for 4-6 whistles. cool the beef before mince.then mince by using blender and keep aside.

 For making masala:
3. Heat oil in a pan,then add ginger garlic paste,green chillies,chopped curry leaves, chopped onion and required salt then saute well until become golden color.
Then add all spice powders and minced beef saute well.cook on low flame for 4 minutes  .then switch off flame .
4.  Mix beef onion masala and boiled potatoes together.


  Beat eggs in a bowl.in another bowl take bread crumbs.
Then take small portion of beef mixture and shape like cutlets or patties.dip in egg mix and roll in bread crumbs.
Then heat oil for deep frying.fry on medium flame until become crisp and golden brown color.( Avoid over crowding in pan).
 
Serve with tomato ketchup and hot tea. 
 
How to store in refrigerator:

 The cutlet can be stored in the fridge for up to a month.Cutlets can be stored in the freezer and fried quickly when guests arrive.
Don't store more than a month. If stored more than a month    the good flavor of the cutlets will be lost.

* You can store cutlets in refrigerator.
* Cutlet should be stored in the freezer 
  before frying.
* Cutlet should store in air tight containers
   or ziplock covers.
