Butter Chicken Recipe

Butter chicken is one of the delicious authentic dish in Indian cuisine.There are two steps for making this curry.Boneless chicken is used in this recipe.  Then fries the marinated chicken in butter. 

Second step is making gravy.  This recipe has a creamy texture.  Fresh cream is added to this curry to give it a thick texture. Also kasuri methi (dried and powdered fenugreek leaves) gives a special taste.  This curry usually has a slight sweetness.  We can add some honey or sugar if we want. 

 This butter chicken recipe goes well with chapati, naan, roti, rice, and porotta.
Let's see how to make this recipe in easy way.

For Chicken Marination:

Bonless Chicken     -1/2 kg(cut into small
. Ginger garlic paste        -2 tbsp
. Kashmiri chilli powder   -2 tbsp
. Lemon juice                    -1/2 tbsp
. Salt to taste

* Marinate the chicken pieces( boneless chicken) with ginger garlic paste,kashmiri chilli powder,lemon juice and salt .then keep aside for 30 minutes.

Heat butter in a pan for frying the marinated chicken.and fry on low flame til turn golden brown.
For preparing the gravy:
. Butter                              -2 tbsp
. Onion                              - 2Nos
 Green Chilli                   -2 nos
. Cashews                        -20 nos
. Ginger garlic paste       -2 tbsp
Tomato                           - 6
. Kashmiri chilli powder        -2 tbsp
.Garam masala                      - 1/2 tsp
. Water                                    -2 cup
. Salt to taste
.Tomato sauce                      -2 tbsp
.Kasurimethi                        -1/2 tbsp
. Fresh cream                       -1/4 cup
.sugar as required

For preparing gravy, in the same pan add butter then add onion ,greenchilli,ginger garlic paste and cashews.
Saute in medium flame.Then add chopped tomatoes .Saute until become soft.Then add kashmiri chilli powder,Garam masala,and salt to taste.
 Saute til raw smell goes.Then add 2 cup water.
Turn up the flame and stir well when it starts to boil,turn to medium flame and close the lid and cook for 10 minutes.the turn off flame and allow to cool.Then grind in a mixer into a fine paste.

Then add the grinded fine paste into a pan.Then turn on the flame and boil the gravy.when it starts to boil add fried chicken pieces and combine well.When it starts to boil then add tomato sauce and kasurimethi and Fresh cream  mix well.
Then add 2 tbsp of butter.Then mix and combine well.In this time you can add some honey or sugar for sweetness.
Atlast garnish with butter,freshcream and sprinkle some kasurimethi.
